Privacy

Puzzle Observatory stores your progress locally and contains no advertising or cross-app tracking. Official Daily content is included in the app and works offline. Optional support email and websites you choose to open involve the external services described below.

Data on your device

The app stores puzzle attempts, board snapshots, solve results, streaks, quality ratings, cached Daily editions and preferences on your device. The You tab can export a summary or delete local player records and cached editions. The export includes results, quality ratings, local Echo rejection metrics and preferences, but not guesses, board snapshots or puzzle text. Some app preferences and review/onboarding metadata remain after deletion. Deleting local data does not erase copies you shared, sent support email, browser storage or provider logs.

Diagnostics

Diagnostics are off by default. When enabled, the app records game type and outcome in local system logs and signposts. Apple MetricKit may deliver performance and diagnostic payloads; the app logs only how many payloads arrived and does not save their contents or upload them. This version does not upload guesses, entered words or board contents. No third-party analytics SDK is included.

Included Daily content and Apple services

Official Daily editions are signed files included with the app and selected locally by UTC date. They work offline from the first launch; the app does not automatically download Daily editions. The current included stock covers October 14, 2026 through October 13, 2027 in all 19 puzzle languages. App updates can add or correct included content. If an official edition for the current UTC date is not included, locally generated Practice remains available without a new official Daily completion or streak credit. Unlimited puzzles are also generated on your device. Daily selection does not send your puzzle date or language to a hosting service. If you choose to open a source, support or privacy website, your browser contacts that site's provider under its own policies. Game Center and iCloud synchronization are not active in this version. Apple services have their own processing policies.

Feedback and ratings

Choosing Feedback opens your mail app with the app and operating-system versions in an editable message. Puzzle Observatory does not send it automatically or read your sender identity. If you send the message, Corvus support receives its contents, your sender email address, a display name if provided and any details or attachments you choose to include. Your mail app and email providers also process it. Local puzzle-quality ratings stay on your device unless you choose to share an export.

Tracking and collection

The app does not use advertising identifiers or a third-party analytics SDK and does not track you across apps or websites. Local gameplay and diagnostics are not automatically uploaded. Included Daily play does not require a hosting request. Corvus receives support email only if you choose to send it. Requests made when you visit this website are described separately below.

This website

This static website stores your chosen language as puzzle-language in your browser's local storage without a configured expiry. Clearing this site's browser data removes that preference. The site has no analytics script or feedback-upload form. GitHub Pages processes website requests and stores visitor IP addresses for security under its own policy; we do not set its log-retention period. Corvus does not access or retain GitHub Pages visitor or IP logs.

Support email

Support email and attachments you send are kept only in the corvusdevs@outlook.com support mailbox. Corvus does not forward these messages outside this address. Email-provider backups and logs, your sent copies and GitHub security logs are separate and are not erased by the app's local deletion action. You can contact Corvus support with privacy questions or a request concerning the copies under our control.
