Privacy

Playhead collects nothing.

The app reads media files you open, on your own device, and shows you what is in them. It has no account system, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no advertising. It makes no network requests of any kind, so there is no server that could receive your data even in principle.

Files you open stay where they are. Playhead opens them read only and never modifies, copies or uploads them. The list of recently opened files is stored on your device so the app can offer it back to you, and it never leaves the device.

Photographs often record the coordinates of where they were taken. Playhead shows you when a photo carries that information, precisely so you can decide before sharing it. It does not transmit or store those coordinates anywhere.

If you buy Playhead, Apple handles the purchase. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction; we receive no personal information from it.
