Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 7, 2026 · Last Updated: April 7, 2026

Tekla does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All keyboard input processing happens locally on your Mac.

Data We Do Not Collect

Data Stored Locally

The App stores your preferences (keyboard layout, language selection, prediction settings, learned words) using macOS UserDefaults. This data stays entirely on your Mac, is never transmitted to any server, and can be deleted by uninstalling the App.

Input Processing

Tekla processes keyboard input locally to provide swipe-to-type, word predictions, and smart corrections. All input processing occurs entirely on your device. No keystrokes, typed text, or prediction data is recorded, stored beyond local preferences, or transmitted.

License Validation

If you purchased a license, the App may communicate with Paddle (our payment processor) to validate your license key. This communication is handled by Paddle’s SDK and is subject to Paddle’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Third-Party Services

Paddle (paddle.com) processes payments and license validation. See Paddle’s Privacy Policy for details.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last Updated” date.
