Red Crow For Safari is a browser extension that enhances your video watching experience. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect (none) and how the extension works.

Data Collection

Red Crow does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

No analytics or tracking of any kind
No user accounts or sign-in required
No browsing history is recorded or sent anywhere
No cookies are set by the extension
No data is shared with third parties

Local Storage

Your settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your device and is only used to remember your preferences between sessions.

Third-Party Services

When you enable specific features, the extension may connect to the following public APIs:

SponsorBlock (sponsor.ajay.app) — retrieves community-reported sponsor segment data for videos. No personal information is sent.
Return YouTube Dislike (returnyoutubedislikeapi.com) — retrieves dislike counts. Only the video ID is sent.
DeArrow (dearrow-thumb.ajay.app) — retrieves community-submitted titles and thumbnails. Only the video ID is sent.
7TV, BetterTTV, FrankerFaceZ — retrieves chat emote data for live streams. No personal information is sent.

These connections are only made when you explicitly enable the corresponding feature in settings. They are disabled by default.

Permissions

storage — saves your preferences locally on your device.
activeTab — applies your settings to the current tab.
Host permission (youtube.com) — allows the extension to run on video pages.

Children's Privacy

Red Crow does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
